The award-winning interior designer’s multidisciplinary firm, Pickard Design Studio, offers equal parts imagination and methodology, giving way to beautiful interior spaces complemented by the structure of highly developed business. The Dallas-based boutique firm is recognized for their myriad of Hospitality, Multi-Family and Luxury Residential interior design services, from chic hotels, elegant country clubs and luxury resorts to private aviation and residences—to name a few. Under the auspices of savvy business leader and the firm’s president, Sarah Pickard, the design studio thrives in all of its endeavors, including the development of a new subsidiary company. “Desperate Measures” partnering with Pam Grayson, came along as a necessity providing Existing Condition and 3-D Scanning services. At the core of Pickard Design Studio is an emphasis on details, a distinguishing characteristic of the firm. Beyond the high-end communities and hospitality settings in which it works, Pickard Design Studio is a recognized contributor to the community. “It is extremely important to me that we give back,” says Pickard, who was the First Annual Habitat for Humanity Design Duel winner in 2011 and subsequent regional design consultant for Dallas-area ReStores. She was also chosen to participate in Dwell with Dignity’s 2014 Thrift Studio as a featured designer.

Pamela Grayson holds more than 20 years of experience in Architecture, design, and construction. With a wide array of skills, Pamela has been an integral part of both domestic and international design projects, including AFNCI Cairo Children’s Oncology Hospital – also known as 57357 – located in Cairo, Egypt; Florida Waterman Hospital, and Hexam General Hospital, part of Britain’s NHS. She has experience in a variety of design sectors, including: single family residential, hospitality, multi-family, mixed-use, high-rise, healthcare, financial, religious, class A buildings, senior living and adaptive reuse.As a senior architectural designer and project manager at Pickard Design Studio, Pamela designs, collaborates and oversees the construction documentation for PDS, as well as existing property verification and code analysis. She regularly interfaces with clients and contractors regarding construction and technical aspects of the building process. Prior to joining the Pickard Design Studio team, Pamela was an architectural designer, and associate with Gromatzky Dupree & Associates of Dallas. In this role, Pamela participated in and oversaw the construction documents, Public Space Podium Levels detailing, Exhibition Kitchen, interior detailing, interior elevations and millwork design for a 42-story, residential high-rise tower. Prior to that, she was with prestigious international healthcare design firm Jonathan Bailey Associates, where Pamela was a project designer and named “Associate” after just six months of employment. During her years with JBA, she worked on the technical aspects for healthcare design and construction projects around the globe, including the Middle East, North Africa and The United Kingdom. Pamela also has been a project manager for North Dallas architecture firm TGS, working on financial sector design, as well as the design of religious institutions.Pamela currently resides in Dallas, Texas, and enjoys chess, skiing, reading and traveling. She is a member of Women in Architecture (WIA). Her software specialties include: Auto-CAD; ADT (Architectural Desk-top by Autodesk). REVIT 1 (Certification via Autodesk).
